Nationally and globally, Paul is responsible for delivering the business and Information Technology industry’s highest standards of customer service. The innovator of Atrion’s Precision Service Architecture, clients can depend on Paul’s know-how for both initial and continued business solutions and accelerated company growth.
Expertise and Accomplishments
Over the past 25 years, Paul has found success in many roles, and his expertise have benefited thousands of clients of all sizes and needs. Prior to joining Atrion, Paul served as the Vice President of Customer Service at Dimension Data, where he built a tightly integrated international support process and led its North American division through the Cisco Gold Certification and Global Service Provider designation.
Prior to Dimension Data he was a minority owner and served as the Director of Customer Service at Data Comm Systems, Inc. Paul’s leadership approach and customer service reoccurring revenue model led DCS to repeatedly achieve annual revenue growth of 20 percent prior to its acquisition by Dimension Data in 2001.
At Atrion, also a Cisco Gold Partner, Paul brings each of these talents to his role of Senior Vice President, where he is continuously advancing the growth and success of each of Atrion’s nearly 500 client-company base. Aiding Paul in his quest is Atrion’s Precision Service Architecture. A structure which Paul really drove into fruition, this process utilizes industry-leading MaxTime and Sentinel Services to allow clients to build a customized, flexible support program aligned directly with their business goals.
Additionally, Paul’s expertise is enhanced by his ability to select innovative and motivated people to lead his teams. This intuition has invaluably increased Atrion’s productivity, profitability, customer satisfaction levels and overall success as a business and technology services and solutions company.
Industry Education and Leadership
Paul brings his philosophy of mentorship and life-long learning not only to his current staff, but to the burgeoning industry workforce as well. Outside of the office, Paul shares his passion for business and technology as an adjunct professor at Johnson & Wales University in Providence. There, Paul teaches IT Call Center Management and Help Desk Concepts, educating them through the inner-workings of companies like Atrion and the IT industry. Paul has also been instrumental in architecting a live client Help Desk lab directly on the University’s campus.
Striving to offer students real-world experience and opportunity, Paul is also responsible for establishing internship/co-op programs between Atrion and several New England universities. To date, over 80 interns have been hosted at Atrion, with over a dozen of them later being hired and joining the company team. Paul says of his commitment to education, “We are facing great challenges today in all industries and in all states. Together, we can not only generate an industry and educational partnership, but also make a difference in the lives of young adults as we foster our future workforce. That is real success and what Leaders are really here for. “
Within the industry itself, Paul’s most recent promotion was his selection as the CEO of the collaborative IT organization, 1nService (www.1nService.com). A consortium of diversely specialized information technology companies – 30 members and growing – 1nService allows local and regional companies to leverage talents, service clients and grow revenue outside of their traditional certification and/or geographical limitations.
Within 1nService, Paul has been successful in heading a Professional Services Leadership Team which represents more then 350 technology professionals. Paul has also led the Alliance Committee in strategically providing extrinsic value through a collaborative business model focused around strong relationships between suppliers, industry-leading organizations and member companies. In all his undertakings, Paul’s contributions have advanced 1nService to be able to efficiently offer unique collaborations, best practices sharing and a strong competitive advantage in a small-business approach with big-business reach.
Affiliations and Family
Paul is an active participant on several leading supplier councils responsible for helping to set direction through a partner and client perspective. He also serves on the Atrion Networking Board as well as the Network Access Inc. Board. You will find articles written by him or quoting him in a variety of industry leading periodicals.
Paul lives in the suburbs of Boston with his wife Jane, an elementary school teacher. Together, they have two children who are recent graduates of northeast universities. Both Paul and Jane are natives of the Boston area and enjoy spending time working with children and young adults to foster their development and success.
