Atrion Acquisition, Shazamm, Relocating to Hope Artiste Village
5/30/2008
Warwick, RI – May 30th 2008 – Atrion Networking Corporation announces its artistic arm, Shazamm, an interactive multimedia company, will be moving to the Hope Artiste Village.
The newly renovated Hope Webbing mill complex, which pinnacled during WWII as it manufactured various textiles including parachutes, pajamas and bootstraps, is now home to a dynamic mix of studios, retail stores, offices, galleries, performance theatres, restaurants and work/live studio and loft spaces. And it is within this inspiring setting, with an outside wall of ceiling-to-floor windows splashing golden sunrays across imperfect red brick, wooden loft beams and industrial style exposed ceiling, that Shazamm will now operate its own imaginative Web, print and multimedia design solutions. The creative affect will be capitalized upon as Shazamm’s CEO, Dana Paul, has designated a white wall canvas to showcase the work of local area artists.
“Tim [Hebert, CEO of Atrion] and I agreed – the first time we saw it – that Hope Artiste Village felt like home,” said Paul. “The stimulating tenant mix here is going to be inspiring for all of us – not just for the artists who work at Shazamm, but for the programmers, business development team...everyone. Obviously, that’s great for us from a work environment perspective, but I know our new space will only benefit our work and, by extension, our clients as well.”
“Atrion is taking a step forward into a new direction of Information Technology and business solutions,” said Atrion’s Hebert. “What better way to do that then with a relocation and a breath of Hope Village’s creative air to inspire our imaginations and to better serve the needs of our clients?”
Being acquired by Atrion, Shazamm will now be able to provide Atrion’s clients functional and attention-grabbing communications and marketing solutions. From network security to remote kiosk and digital sign management, companies will have the opportunity to customize their business solution literally from the inside out.
Shazamm has already begun to move into its Hope Artiste Village space, but is not expected to be settled in until late June. An open house will be announced at a later date. Shazamm’s New York City office will remain fully functional as well.
Atrion is also exploring the possibility of opening additional office space at Hope as well as in Norwood, MA as it expands its client-base, increases its solutions offerings and hires new employees.
