Atrion Renews Double Gold Status in the Microsoft Partner Network

4/24/2012

Warwick, R.I. – April 23, 2012 – Atrion Networking Corporation, a leading provider of IT services, today announced it has again achieved double gold status within the Microsoft Partner Network in the areas of Messaging as well as Portals and Collaboration. This achievement signifies Atrion’s continuing ability to meet Microsoft clients’ evolving needs in today’s dynamic business environment.

To earn a Microsoft Gold Competency, organizations must complete a rigorous set of tests to prove their level of technology expertise, have the right number of Microsoft Certified Professionals, submit client references, and demonstrate their commitment to client satisfaction by participating in an annual survey.

“Both the Messaging as well as the Portals & Collaboration competencies showcase our expertise in today’s technology market and demonstrate our knowledge of Microsoft and its products,” said Alan Silverman, Technical Director at Atrion. “Our plan is to accelerate our clients’ success by serving as technology advisors for their business demands,” Silverman added. “We have been focused on Exchange, SharePoint, and Lync for years, and we continue to make sure that we stay on top of the current and upcoming versions.”

In addition to these two (2) Gold competencies, Atrion also holds seven (7) Silver competencies within the Microsoft Partner Network in the following areas:  Content Management, Data Platform, Desktop, Identity and Security, Midmarket Solutions, Search and Server Platform.

“By achieving gold and silver competencies, organizations have proven their expertise in specific technology areas, placing them among the top 5 percent of Microsoft partners worldwide,” said Jon Roskill, Corporate Vice President, Worldwide Partner Group at Microsoft Corp. “When clients look for an IT partner to meet their business challenges, choosing a company that has attained Microsoft competencies is a smart move. These are highly qualified professionals with access to Microsoft technical support and product teams.”

The Microsoft Gold Competency signifies to the market that a company has demonstrated the highest level of skill and achievement within a given technology specialization. All 29 Microsoft competencies are designed to help differentiate a partner’s specific technology capabilities, helping clients find solution providers quickly and easily. Each competency has a unique set of requirements and benefits, formulated to accurately represent the specific skills and services that partners bring to the industry.

With the Microsoft Messaging and with the Portals and Collaboration competencies, Atrion can demonstrate to clients that they have the skills and proven experience in meeting team and organizational collaboration and connectivity needs across intranets, extranets, and the Internet.

The Microsoft Partner Network helps partners strengthen their capabilities to showcase leadership in the marketplace on the latest technology, to better serve clients and, with 640,000 Microsoft partners in their ecosystem, to easily connect with one of the most active, diverse networks in the world.
