Himmelstein Awarded SharePoint Server MVP

Warwick, R.I. – January 31, 2014 – Senior Technical Director of Atrion’s SharePoint practice, Jason Himmelstein, has been awarded the prestigious designation of Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP). The nomination-based award is given by Microsoft to exceptional technical leaders which actively share their passion, expertise, and real-world knowledge of Microsoft products. MVPs offer their expertise in ways that greatly help people make the most of their Microsoft software, services and tools. In addition, the MVP community is known for representing the next generation of technologists. Himmelstein is a SharePoint ITPro with more than 15 years working with Microsoft and related technologies. He leads the vision for Atrion’s SharePoint practice, guiding clients through strategic use of SharePoint for enterprise portals & collaboration and planning Atrion’s innovative offerings in the SharePoint space.

As a highly sought after public speaker, Himmelstein will be presenting “Achieving Better Business Productivity Through Apps for Office” at the Microsoft SharePoint Conference 2014. He plays an active role in the Microsoft and technology community by leading two SharePoint Saturdays, in New Hampshire and Rhode Island; is the track chair for SharePoint Intersections in Orlando; regularly does webinars for SharePoint Pro Magazine and is a presenter for SPTechCon, SharePointFest, SPLive and others. “Acknowledgment from Microsoft with the MVP award for my work is a huge honor for me,” said Himmelstein. “High-profile recognitions like this show that Atrion is continually in-step with, and deeply dedicated to, the technologies our clients use,” he said.
